Happy Summer! The kids are out of school and the temperatures are reaching well into the 90's here in Tampa. Our afternoon summer thunder storms are beginning to make an appearance, and our Christmas Fabric is still coming in! Hard to believe this year is going by so fast, but if it's summertime, it's time to begin thinking about new holiday projects.
As requested, we are remaking our Christmas Tree Quilt from last year in some beautiful new colors for this holiday season. The remake should be ready to reveal sometime in July. Kits will be available and classes will be taught to get you finished in time for Christmas - Stay tuned for more details.
Summer Sewing Camp begins in July with 3 separate sessions. Each session runs from Tuesday - Friday and meets from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Ages 8 and up are welcome.

The next scheduled quilt show for the Tampa Bay area will be in October. The Brandon Piecemakers are busy making plans for their first show in many years. It will be nice to have a Fall show in the area.
Summer Classes
Beginning Quilting: 6 week course for the new quilter. Class includes instructions on rotary cutting, piecing (including half square triangles), layering, quilting and binding. Learn the basics in a small class setting. Class begins Tuesday July 8th and runs for 6 consecutive weeks. $70.00 class fee plus $10.00 handout fee.
Intermediate Hand Quilting: ongoing group - next meeting July 9th.
Hexagon Quilt- This special class is specially designed for kids and adults alike. Great summer class for mom and daughter!! July 12th 10:00 - 1:00 Susan Fullington
Bali Tote - Great bag and fun to make. The sample in the shop is selling out of patterns - we've reordered again and will be offering several classes for this bag. First class is July 19th 10:00 - 2:00
Fun & Done - Once again, Marcia will offer this "quilt as you go" class. July 23rd.
Christmas Banner - NEW - Great new holiday project. Let Marcia show you how to complete this festive little banner - includes lots of beading and embellishing.

Wildflower Sampler Workshop - August 16th 10:00 - 2:00 Open to anyone participating in our BOM who needs a little help or is looking for a quiet place to catch up on the blocks!
